This is a very pretty card and represents a fair perception of what Musial’s ‘53 might have actually looked like. The image is from the spring of ‘52. The red tones are not obnoxious but very rich. Everything color-wise is phenomenal. Any time Blues, greens and reds perfectly align with flesh tones, the result is wonderful. It just doesn’t happen enough. We don’t offer Stan Musial as pack-fresh often as I often keep the MINT copy for myself. With this set, I definitely prefer the shoebox version as it looks like my actual set, Lol.
