I hesitated to make a horizontal ‘67. Mickey was on a bad ballclub and nearing the end of a magnificent career. It made me sad to put “1B” on his position, so I put “OF/1B”. Mickey Mantle is the only player I could logically see a horizontal card of. The game’s biggest star and the key to any set since 1951. This card captures one more moment of glory. An upper-deck moon shot, the result of the savage Mantle attack. The original ‘67 Mantle is one of my least-favorite cards, ever, for numerous reasons.

This one sets things right—even on down to the bright, lime-green reverse. I hope you love it!
