Say Hey! Willie appears twice—even though he was headed to military service. The card speaks for itself. Full of animation and excitement, it’s a masterpiece. I darn near fell out of my chair when I opened the sketch. His skin is a deep bronze against a beautiful blue sky. A blue-chipper of a Mays card, this is the one and only “pack-fresh” example of card #50.
