Since 2023 a thought has been brewing. The ‘52s were rolling along but every time I made a ‘53 it was exciting. I thought about doing a set but knew it could never match the comprehensive checklist of our 1092-card. One thing I knew; there wouldn’t be any “modern” guys featured and I would focus on 10-20 players that best represented each team. I began and failed. There is a certain look that ‘53s have and it required a plain paper sketch. The idea was shelved until late 2024, when I met Moira in an art/photoshop study. A partnership was born and, just 15 months later, a dazzling original set of 1953’s was born. These cards are phenomenal. I was, as always, torn between making them look EXACTLY like the originals or spruce ‘em up and put my own “stamp” on them. As usual, I chose the latter. They have the ‘53 vibe throughout. I’m embarrassed to say how much of my time on this project, but I couldn’t be happier with the result. What put it over the top for me was the vintage paper from 1953. It’s porous and flaky but handles the gloss really well.

For now, we only have photos attached that will list Christmas-February. Enjoy the browse!

***I can do commissioned work for any player you’d like made custom, but these are a little more expensive than usual due to sketch time and Moira’s fees.***
